The Governor is authorised to assess the values. Section 13 makes the rates payable at the valuation finally settled.
The present officers for Rating purposes are continued with power to the Governor to remove and appoint others. Section 2 and 3 provide for changes of tenancy which formerly created much trouble.
It is probable that as the labours of this department will be curtailed by this Ordinance some saving may be effected under these clauses.
Full powers are given to Valuers to enable them to perform their duty, Sections 4, 5, and 6.
